About us

Our Service

This website is run by Women’s Health Tasmania. Women's Health Tasmania also offers confidential and free phone and online services. We can give you information about contraception, pregnancy options (including abortion) and sexual health.

We are:

  • pro-choice
  • non-judgmental
  • independent

This website aims to link you to the services that best suit your needs. If you contact us we do not provide medical advice but we can help you find the sexual and reproductive health service you need.

There may be some sexual and reproductive health services in Tasmania that are not listed on this website.  This database is a directory, not a list of recommendations. We urge people using this website to make their own decisions about the suitability of the services they use.

Our Philosophy

Women's Health Tasmania is a feminist service. This means we support women to make their own decisions about their own lives.

Our feminism embraces diverse understandings of sex and gender. This means we are inclusive of everyone who identifies as a woman.

Women's Health Tasmania is also an ally with gender diverse Tasmanians. This website is designed to be used by any person who needs to make choices about their pregnancy.

It is important to us that our feminist philosophy is welcoming and inclusive.
